An Update from the Elders
CBC Family,
Ten years ago as the leaders of Community Baptist Church labored to come in line with obedience to God’s word for its structure, one of the men who stepped up in service as an elder was Brother Larry Thrasher. He has stood in the gap as CBC has continued to strive for biblical faithfulness for the last decade. With the Lord raising up others to step up in leading CBC, Brother Larry is preparing to step down from the role of elder, while continuing to serve in the many other ways he has so faithfully done for many years. The elders at CBC want our church family to know this is not because of any disqualification, sinfulness, or conflict. Brother Larry has served and will continue to serve as an exemplary servant to the church. We are thankful to the Lord for brother Larry and his dear wife Becky for their proven faithfulness and urge the members of CBC to continue to hold him in esteem as a godly servant of the Lord who has ministered well among them.
